Abstract

L'objet de ce travail est de s'interroger sur l'aptitude de la fonction de gains de Mincer a saisir efficacement la relation Education-Salaire. Cette fonction a tres largement ete utilisee comme outil de mesure des rendements des investissements educatifs. Pourtant, elle repose sur des hypotheses restrictives et discutables tres peu rappelees et dans la litterature empirique (Willis, 1986).En etablissant sous quelles conditions la fonction de gains de Mincer apparait, on montre les limites de son utilisation empirique pour l'estimation des taux de rendement de l'education ainsi que les ameliorations qui peuvent etre apportees.
