Abstract

Planning Commission’s Approach Paper to the Twelfth Plan lays down the objective for the Twelfth Plan as faster, more inclusive and sustainable growth. Unsettled global economy, volatile commodity prices, inflation and growing skill shortages are some of the key challenges in the short to medium run to sustain high growth whereas in the longer run, the environment and natural resources, particularly energy and water, pose serious challenges.
