Abstract

Se analizan las diversas funciones de la tabla de vida, las probabilidades de vida y de muerte, el modelo de población estacionaria, las relaciones de supervivencia necesarias para hacer proyecciones de población, las tablas modelo de mortalidad, las diversas metodologías que pueden usarse en América Latina para la construcción de tablas abreviadas y completas, y algunas aplicaciones de la tabla de mortalidad en estudios de población.
