Medición del empleo y de los ingresos rurales = Measurement of employment and income in rural areas

Abstract

Analiza el lugar que ocupa la investigacion del empleo y de los ingresos en el marco de la preocupacion general en las sociedades en desarrollo por el crecimiento y la equidad: el bienestar de la poblacion, el nivel y la eficacia de la utilizacion de la fuerza de trabajo, la disponibilidad de la mano de obra y los desequilibrios en los mercados de trabajo, principalmente en las zonas rurales. Estudia los criterios para identificar la fuerza de trabajo agricola; las clasificaciones convencionales de las ramas de actividad; conceptos actualmente en uso para medir los fenomenos de subutilizacion de la mano de obra; la medicion de los ingresos rurales desde un enfoque que integra su investigacion con la de las actividades y del empleo; y las posibilidades de distintas fuentes y sugiere algunas acciones para facilitar su vinculacion, como forma de superar las limitaciones que plantea cada una de ellas por separado para la medicion e investigacion del empleo y los ingresos rurales.
