Abstract

We present several econometric models, with international panels of data from Europe, America and Asia, which show the important and significant positive impact that human capital has on economic development through the investment effect and other indirect impacts. We insist upon the convenience of fostering policies of international cooperation, for increasing education and world development, specially in less developed countries. Other effects, level and rate, are analysed in the supplementary paper by Neira(2003).
