Colombia En El Contexto De Las Metas Del Milenio: Tropiezos, Logros Y El Camino Hacia Adelante

Abstract

Se presenta de manera sencilla la evolución de la economía colombiana y su contraparte social durante la década de los noventa y comienzos del milenio con el propósito de evaluar los logros y el camino a recorrer para alcanzar las metas del milenio. Se caracteriza el periodo de crisis de la economía y sus consecuencias para el trasfondo social en lo referente a pobreza, educación, salud y acceso a los servicios de agua potable y saneamiento básico. Se reconoce que se han presentado importantes avances en estos frentes, sin embargo se requieren de esfuerzos adicionales para lograr los objetivos finales.
