Una nota introductoria a la encuesta de Expectativas Económicas

Abstract

En este trabajo se describe la Encuesta de Expectativas Económicas (EEE), la que ha sido elaborada mensualmente por el Banco Central de Chile desde el año 2000. En los primeros años el cuestionario sufrió varios cambios pero, salvo modificaciones menores, mantiene su forma actual desde noviembre del 2004. La EEE está dirigida a un grupo selecto de académicos, consultores y ejecutivos o asesores del sector privado. Las respuestas sirven para evaluar expectativas a horizontes móviles (por ejemplo, 12 meses adelante) y en momentos fijos del tiempo (por ejemplo, diciembre del año en curso). Durante el periodo 2000-2009, en promedio 35 personas han contestado el cuestionario cada mes. Este documento presenta una reseña de los resultados comparándolos con las cifras efectivas.
