Sensibilidad de los salarios al desempleo regional en Colombia: nuevas estimaciones de la curva de salarios

Abstract

Se utiliza información de la Encuesta Nacional de Hogares (1984-2000), la Encuesta Continua de Hogares (2001-2006) y la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares (2006-2009) para estimar la curva de salarios (Blanchflower y Oswald, 1994). Se encuentra que los salarios responden a la tasa de desempleo en magnitudes que varían entre -0,088 y -0,20 lo cual se ajusta a la evidencia internacional. Por tanto, los salarios son sensibles a la tasa de desempleo. La curva se estima con diversas modificaciones y en todos los casos se encuentra evidencia de flexibilidad (imperfecta) de los salarios.
