Author

Listed:
  • Seymour, William R.

Abstract

Excerpt from the Preface: A few fruit and/or vegetable producers or a large group may believe forming a cooperative is the answer to their marketing problems. However, before they start to organize and develop a new cooperative, they must understand what a cooperative is, the role of cooperatives in marketing, factors to consider before starting a cooperative, and the steps in determining if the proposed cooperative is feasible. The major purpose of this publication is present a background information on fruit and vegetable cooperative development procedures.
