Wildlife in Land Planning

Abstract

Planning for wildlife in the United States has engaged the attention of the Land Planning Committee of the National Resources Board and is the subject of a comprehensive report by that body. The Committee rightly insists on the economic, social, and recreational importance of wildlife and asserts that wildlife cannot be ignored in any comprehensive, well-considered plan for land utilization. Wildlife has a more or less direct bearing upon land uses almost everywhere and to insure wise use must be taken into account.
