Abstract

Excerpt from the report: This publication contains a series of maps and graphs, showing the geographic distribution of agricultural production and trade, world population, and such physical factors as land forms, vegetation, soils, and annual rainfall. An analysis of the distribution dot maps of the world's more important crops and farm animals as related to the physical factors and trade shows the position occupied by the United States in the world's agricultural production and markets. The introductory text contains a comparison of United States agricultural production and population with that of the more important agricultural countries of the world.
