Abstract

This chapter shows how, with the help of panel data, a market structure analysis can be accomplished, whereby the view is directed at the beer market. The information on the individual market data does not refer to a specific geographic market but is merely intended to illustrate the analysis approaches. The examples listed below are typical fields of application in the various panels, although they are only a small sample of the analysis possibilities. The application examples are panel-related and not vendor-related. Detailed price and distribution analyses round off this chapter.
