Abstract

Zusammenfassung Es gibt viele verwirrende Definitionen und Mythen über (organisationale) Resilienz. In diesem Kapitel wird ein wenig Licht ins Dunkel gebracht, die individuelle Resilienz von der organisationalen Resilienz unterschieden und die unterschiedlichen Ebenen und Elemente erläutert, von denen in Unternehmen Resilienz ausgehen kann. Sie erfahren, dass Resilienz einem Wahrscheinlichkeitsprinzip unterliegt und dass es daher keine Garantie dafür gibt, dass sich Resilienz entwickelt, weder in einer Person noch in einer Organisation. Die gute Nachricht dabei ist, dass sich die Wahrscheinlichkeit für Resilienzentwicklung erhöht, je mehr Schutzfaktoren (Resilienzfaktoren) in Bezug auf ein herausforderndes Ereignis entwickelt und eingesetzt werden. Bei Resilienz handelt es sich um eine systemische Kompetenz, auf deren Entwicklung Führungskräfte, da sie an vielen Schnittstellen arbeiten, besonders hohen Einfluss in ihrem selbstverantwortlichen Handeln haben.
