Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im vorliegenden Kapitel wird untersucht, wie sich die Verbreitung und Validität von Conjointstudien bei kommerziellen Anwendungen im Zeitraum von 1995 bis 2020 entwickelt hat. Basis der Untersuchung bilden die Beschreibungen und die anonymisierten Daten von 3.883 Conjointstudien zweier marktführender Anbieter, zu denen jeweils verschiedene Validitätsmaße berechnet werden konnten. Vorgestellt werden die Conjointstudien im Überblick sowie die Entwicklung hinsichtlich der untersuchten Produktkategorien, der Komplexität, der Erhebungsform und der eingesetzten Varianten, gerade auch im Vergleich zu anderen aktuellen Untersuchungen in den USA und Europa. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass die Validität von Conjointstudien auch bei erheblicher Zunahme der Komplexität (z.B. hinsichtlich der Anzahl an Merkmalen und Ausprägungen) und der Neuartigkeit der Produkte nicht zu-, aber auch nicht abgenommen hat. Die Streuung der Validitätsmaße ist ebenfalls konstant geblieben.
