Abstract

Zusammenfassung Im Rahmen der digitalen Transformation und des Wandels zu digitalen Unternehmen nimmt die Datenwertschöpfung eine immer zentralere Rolle ein. Damit einher gehen neue datengetriebene Rollenprofile wie Data Scientist, Business Analyst oder Predictive Maintenance Expert. Diese Entwicklung führt zu den Fragestellungen, inwieweit sich diese neuen Profile mit denen von Controllern überschneiden, wie die Rolle von Controllern auszugestalten ist, um zukunftsorientiert aufgestellt zu sein und wer zukünftig die Funktion des Business Partners für das Management einnehmen kann. Der Artikel untersucht zunächst aktuelle Anforderungen und Aufgaben beider Berufsgruppen, diese werden daraufhin in Beziehung zueinander gesetzt und abschließend bewertet, um die o. a. Fragen zu klären.
