Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag beleuchtet die digitale Transformation und KI-Readiness in Unternehmen. Im ersten Unterkapitel wird die Ausgangssituation von KMU in Bezug auf digitale Transformation und KI-Implementierung dargestellt, wobei Herausforderungen wie Fachwissenmangel, unzureichende Dateninfrastrukturen und Ressourcenknappheit erörtert werden. Das zweite Unterkapitel geht auf den Begriff „KI-Readiness“ ein, der die Bereitschaft und Eignung von Unternehmen für die Einführung von KI-Technologien beschreibt. Im dritten Unterkapitel wird der KI-Readiness-Check des Mittelstand-Digital-Zentrums Kaiserslautern vorgestellt – ein Tool zur Selbstanalyse der KI-Bereitschaft im eigenen Unternehmen. Es werden fünf Reifegradstufen definiert und entsprechende Handlungsempfehlungen für jede Stufe gegeben. Abschließend werden Vorteile und Limitationen von KI-Readiness-Checks sowie die Notwendigkeit von Schlüsselkompetenzen der Mitarbeitenden diskutiert. Es wird empfohlen, KI-Readiness-Checks als Grundlage für erste Handlungsempfehlungen zu nutzen und externe Expertise in das Implementierungsvorhaben einzubeziehen, um eine erfolgreiche KI-Implementierung zu gewährleisten.
