Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über wichtige Entwicklungen in der Domäne Pflege und deren Implikationen und Konsequenzen für die Berufliche Bildung. Pflegeausbildungen haben einen Sonderstatus, weil ihre Zugangswege und Berufszulassung über ein eigenes Berufegesetz geregelt werden. Berufliches Pflegehandeln weist eine ambivalente Handlungslogik auf und ist determiniert durch eine institutionelle Rahmung, die durch einen Prozess der Ökonomisierung geprägt ist. Der damit korrespondierende Fachkräftemangel steht in widersprüchlicher Wechselwirkung zur Berufsbildung: Einerseits hat Ausbildung die Funktion der Fachkräftesicherung; andererseits leidet die Ausbildung besonders unter dem schon lange anhaltenden Personaldefizit. In diesem komplexen Bedingungsgefüge findet aktuell eine Reform der Berufsbildung statt, die mit einer Zusammenführung der bisher drei Pflegeausbildungen in eine generalistische Qualifizierung und alternativ dazu einem Pflegestudium zur Berufszulassung einhergeht.
