Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Thema „Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement“ (BGM) hat sich in den letzten zehn Jahren von einem Nischenthema zu einem Trendthema im Personalwesen entwickelt. So gehen aktuelle Statistiken der Initiative Gesundheit & Arbeit davon aus, dass jeder dritte Betrieb bereits ein Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement entwickelt hat, und in sieben von zehn Fällen wird das Betriebliche Gesundheitsmanagement aus dem Personalbereich gesteuert. (Vgl. Bechmann et al., iga.Report 20. Motive und Hemmnisse für Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagent (BGM), S. 11, 2011). Doch nicht zuletzt aufgrund des rasanten Bedeutungszuwachses in den letzten Jahren herrscht nach wie vor noch in zahlreichen Betrieben Ungewissheit darüber, was sich eigentlich hinter dem Begriff verbirgt bzw. wie ein Unternehmen konkret aus Personalersicht von einem BGM profitieren kann. Dieser Beitrag möchte daher faktenbasiert Antworten auf diese Fragen liefern. Konkret soll zunächst einmal erläutert werden, was genau alles unter dem Begriff BGM zu verstehen ist, bevor auf Chancen für Personaler eingegangen wird und diese mit Belegen unterfüttert werden.
