Der Spendenmarkt in Deutschland

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Privatpersonen steuern zum deutschen Spendenmarkt Geldspenden im Wert von geschätzt 11,7 Mrd. € pro Jahr (2020) bei. Beiträge für religiöse Zwecke (im Form der Kirchensteuer) im Wert von 13,09 Mrd. € (katholische und evangelische Kirche gemeinsam im Jahr 2022) werden dabei nicht angerechnet. Unternehmen steuern Geld-, Sach- und Zeitspenden im Wert von mindestens 10,3 Mrd. € pro Jahr bei. Dieser Wert reduziert sich jedoch auf mindestens 8,9 Mrd. €, wenn man das privat erbrachte Engagement der Unternehmer herausrechnet. Ebenfalls herauszurechnen wäre ein Betrag unbekannter Höhe für Geld-, Sach- und Dienstleistungen, die Unternehmen im Rahmen ihres Sponsoring bereitstellen, da Sponsoring und Spenden (steuerrechtlich) klar zu trennen sind.
