Abstract

As countries in the Middle East contend with imperatives around economic diversification, knowledge economy transformation, and the advancement of societal well-being, the integration of artificial intelligence-enabled tools in human resource management (HRM) processes holds significant potential. However, realizing this potential necessitates nuanced approaches attuned to the cultural dimensions, workforce values, and organizational contexts unique to the Middle East. Therefore, this chapter provides a discussion on the assimilation and impact of AI technologies within HRM domains across the Middle East region. It also elucidates the revolutionary impact of AI in boosting efficiency, complementing analytics-based decision-making, and upgrading employee experiences across high-volume human resource administration, recruitment, and retention processes through a thorough synthesis of scholarly viewpoints. Overall, the chapter explain the opportunities and challenges of assimilating AI technologies to strategically elevate HRM efficacy in the Arab world, with recommendations to balance innovation, ethics, and regional resonance.
