Reimagine Executive Education

Abstract

My basic premise is that Executive Education must change. The current approaches to Exec Ed are inappropriate for the new reality we face now and will face post-pandemic. The reinvented Exec Ed programs should challenge and ideally change what we know and do today. This chapter outlines 10 challenges that effective Exec Ed programs have to address. The guidelines to address the challenges suggest the need for reimagining our current mental models and approaches to Exec Ed. Six examples of innovative programs are briefly discussed to inspire the reader to start experimenting with these challenges. Such experiments are a must if we are to assure that our Exec Ed programs add value to the participants, their sponsors, the offering organizations and society.
