Teaching Embedded Entrepreneurship Through Experiential Learning in International Business

Abstract

This chapter introduces two courses on entrepreneurship taught to Master of Management and Master of Business Administration (MBA) students in China. Students experience and understand the institutional embeddedness of entrepreneurs through interaction with local institutional stakeholders and work with corporate partners for their own consultancy projects. Referencing institutional entrepreneurship, embedded agency and strategic tripod literature, our approach is transferable to other developing economies.
