Abstract

Change (either bottom-up or top-down) and innovation are deeply interconnected, each driving and sustaining the other in a dynamic and symbiotic relationship. In today’s fast-paced world, shaped by technological advancements and globalization, both businesses and individuals must constantly adapt to survive and thrive. Change involves an ongoing effort to improve and adjust in response to shifting market conditions, evolving customer needs, and technological progress. This relentless pursuit of betterment creates an environment ripe for innovation, as organizations and individuals seek novel solutions to new challenges and opportunities. In this chapter, amongst others, we the concepts and impacts of Kaizen and continuous change as a bottom-up change approach, Kaikaku and Kakushin as top-down approaches, as well as change through process transformation and digitization.
