Abstract

Innovation as a term turns out to be quite “en vogue”. Like with anything, this en vogue term might just run the risk of being labelled as yet another trend. And if there is one thing that we’ve learnt about trends, it’s that they don’t last long! Beyond fleeting probes of change that trends might invite, we should aim for a genuine and long-term solution that facilitates an equal accessibility of community life. We have to define innovation as a planned and controlled change of our social system by using new ideas and techniques. Innovation requires action! In times of growing digital industries and solutions, I want to put focus on the analogue world, on human interaction and interpersonal relationships. Highlighting the thirst of real relationships that all of us are carrying inside, I will explain the importance of connecting different social realities in an increasing digital world. Furthermore I give a closer insight into our work at Sindbad – Social Business.
