Going for Broke

Abstract

When devising a lateral project there is always the risk — in the search for consensus — of ending up with a manipulated formula, devoid of sense, which gets rid of all the difficulties and kills with kindness. The lateral projects one might end up with — if one is not careful — resemble in a strange way knives without blades, or handles either. In the end nothing has changed or the changes have been so minuscule as to make one wonder what all the fuss was about.
