Abstract

It has become a cliché of modern HR work that a “seat at the table” is a prerequisite for success, but with very little precise information about what this might mean exactly. The relationship between the chief executive officer (CEO) and the HR Director is the start point for the way HR work gets done in the organization, a situation which becomes particularly acute during a period of transformation.
