Abstract

The chapter titled “Sport products in a connected world” offers definitions important to understanding the nature of sport products. Examples of sport products make clear the diversity of sport products. Also discussed is the new product development process and the sport product life cycle. Product positioning as well as team brand positioning are discussed and illustrated through a case example. Lastly, sport associations important to branding are reviewed.
