Asimetrías en la demanda por trabajo en Colombia : el papel del ciclo económico

Abstract

Se analizan las elasticidades de demanda de empleo calificado y no calificado en las diferentes fases del ciclo económico colombiano. Se usaron los modelos MS-VER (P) y las metodologías propuestas por Krolzig (1997) y Clements y Krolzig (2003). Los resultados confirman la existencia de asimetrías en las demandas por empleo calificado y no calificado. También se encuentran las relaciones empleo-PIB y empleo-salario no calificado, se intensifican en los períodos de crisis. Así mismo, la elasticidad empleo-salario aumenta (en valor absoluto) para el trabajo no calificado en los períodos de auge.||*Este capítulo se encuentra incluido en la tercera parte del libro El mercado de trabajo en Colombia : hechos, tendencias e instituciones, titulada "El mercado de trabajo en el corto plazo"
