Der internationale Steuerwettbewerb aus Unternehmenssicht: Jahresmonitor der Stiftung Familienunternehmen

Abstract

Eine große Mehrheit der deutschen Unternehmen schätzt den internationalen Steuerwettbewerb als stark oder sehr stark ein. Zu den Auswirkungen auf ihren Betrieb befragt, geben insbesondere die großen Familienunternehmen etwa doppelt so häufig negative Folgen zu Protokoll als große Nicht-Familienunternehmen. Dies zeigt, dass der Steuerwettbewerb die deutsche Wirtschaft nicht gleichmäßig trifft. Ein Nichtstun der Bundesregierung ist für die befragten Firmen keine Option. Sie erwarten eine Senkung bürokratischer Lasten, eine bessere internationale Koordination zur Eindämmung von Steuervermeidung sowie niedrigere Unternehmenssteuertarife. Das ifo Institut hat für die Studie im Auftrag der Stiftung 1.250 Familien- und Nichtfamilienunternehmen befragt. Damit handelt es sich um die größte Umfrage zum Thema Steuerwettbewerb.
