Abstract

Der hier publizierte Endbericht einer Forschungsarbeit, die von einer Gruppe StudentInnen des Instituts für Soziologie an der Universität Wien in Peru durchgeführt wurde, präsentiert die Ergebnisse eines Studienprojektes, in dem der Frage nachgegangen wurde, wie Tourismus nachhaltig gestaltet werden kann. Einleitend werden relevante Grundlagen der Theorie der sozialen Nachhaltigkeit für das Projekt skizziert und der historische Kontext Perus im Allgemeinen und die deskriptive Beschreibung der untersuchten Orte dargestellt. Nach einem methodischen Kapitel werden die Ergebnisse der Interviews von Einheimischen, ExpertInnen und TouristInnen in Beziehung zu den regionalen Gegebenheiten gesetzt. Abschließend werden die Ergebnisse diskutiert und Indikatoren für die soziale Nachhaltigkeit im Tourismus in Peru vorgestellt. Die Forschungsarbeit bietet mit der Indikatorenentwicklung eine wichtige Grundlage für die Diskussion der Beurteilung von sozialer Nachhaltigkeit im Bereich des Tourismus am Beispiel Perus.
