Deutsche Forschung im Einigungsprozeß: Die Transformation der Akademie der Wissenschaften der DDR 1989 bis 1992

Abstract

Oberflächlich gesehen mag die deutsche Vereinigung in allen Bereichen nach dem Muster eines Institutionentransfers von West nach Ost abgelaufen sein. Genauer betrachtet gab es jedoch erhebliche Unterschiede im Prozeßverlauf, in der Konfliktintensität, im Ausmaß der bewirkten Strukturbrüche im Osten und in den Rückwirkungen auf den institutionellen Status quo im Westen. Die Transformation der außeruniversitären Forschung der DDR zeichnete sich durch relativ klare Zielvorstellungen, ein systematisches Herangehen an die Umgestaltungsaufgabe und eine hochgradig konforme Implementation der Vorschläge aus. Die empirische Studie analysiert die Bedingungen, unter denen ein derart gezielter Institutionenwandel stattfinden kann, und versucht, eine Bewertung der Transformationsergebnisse vorzunehmen.
