Abstract

Dieser Sammelband stellt Beiträge zur Theorie sozialer Differenzierung vor, die auf die Analyse von Prozessen des Strukturwandels in hochentwickelten Gegenwartsgesellschaften angewandt wird. So kommen funktionelle Teilsysteme in der Theorie sozialer Differenzierung zur Sprache. Die Differenzierung des Wissenschaftssystems ist ebenso ein Thema wie die Ausdifferenzierung und der Strukturwandel des deutschen Gesundheitssystems. Weitere Schwerpunkte sind die Entwicklung des Sports zum gesellschaftlichen Teilsystem sowie Aspekte der Entwicklung technischer Infrastruktursysteme. Fragen der Inklusion in Funktionsystemen der modernen Gesellschaft werden ebenso behandelt wie die Verselbständigung und die politische Steuerbarkeit gesellschaftlicher Teilsysteme.
