Abstract

Die möglichst umfassende und präzise Erfassung der FuE Aktivitäten deutscher Unternehmen bildet eine zentrale Voraussetzung für die Ableitung zielgerichteter und passgenauer innovationspolitischer Maßnahmen sowie für die Konzeption zukunftsweisender Förderlinien. Der Stifterverband nimmt diese Aufgabe bereits seit mehreren Jahrzehnten nachhaltig wahr. Für querschnittbasierte Auswertungen und die Berichterstattung auf aggregierten Berichtsebenen liefern die bestehenden Zahlenwerke eine exzellente und belastbare Datenbasis. Gleichzeitig bleibt jedoch zu konstatieren, dass der Bedarf an dynamisch angelegten, auf Technologiefeldern basierenden Innovationsstudien stetig steigt. Den hohen Datenanforderungen solcher Längsschnittstudien werden bestehende FuE-Zahlenwerke nur bedingt gerecht. Das Projekt NEO-Indikatorik leistet einen Beitrag zur Verbesserung der derzeit gängigen FuE-Berichterstattung. Drei eng miteinander verwobene Stoßrichtungen werden dabei ins Zentrum des Interesses gerückt. (...)
