Análisis económico de la salud

Abstract

Dada la importancia de la salud en el bienestar de las personas y el impacto que tienen los gastos en salud sobre la economía de las familias, la ubicuidad del tema no es sorprendente. Sin embargo, no es sencillo para las múltiples partes involucradas definir los problemas, sintetizar los principales hechos, y entender las posibles soluciones individuales y sociales. El objetivo principal de este documento es ayudar en tal proceso. Para ello, propone un conjunto de herramientas económicas para analizar el sector salud. Este trabajo ofrece una visión panorámica de los conceptos más importantes utilizados para entender el funcionamiento de los sistemas de salud, así como los métodos básicos del análisis económico de las intervenciones en salud.
