De la reflexión a la práctica: experiencias y reflexiones en la formación docente

Abstract

La educación es un tema que ha empezado a ocupar lugares cada vez más importantes de la agenda pública, y una de las discusiones centrales es la que gira en torno al desarrollo profesional del docente. La pregunta cómo lograr que los maestros desarrollen competencias disciplinares, pedagógicas y didácticas para promover mejores aprendizajes en sus estudiantes ha generado múltiples iniciativas, entre estas, las Becas para la Excelencia Docente del Ministerio de Educación Nacional, programa del que formó parte la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Externado de Colombia, con su Maestría en Profundización. Este libro nace como una compilación de los resultados de dicha Maestría, en dos sentidos. Por un lado, permite mostrar el diseño curricular de la Modalidad en Profundización y su postura en cuanto a formación de maestros en ejercicio y los aprendizajes adquiridos durante los primeros dos años de implementación de la propuesta, como la relación entre la teoría y la práctica en la reflexión de los docentes. Por otro lado, permite recopilar siete experiencias de innovación de los docentes que fueron estudiantes de la primera cohorte y las reflexiones que este proceso generó en ellos. Dicho de otro modo: el libro permite mostrar las exitosas reflexiones realizadas por los maestros de escuelas, en su mayoría rurales de Cundinamarca, bajo la guía de los docentes de la Facultad de Educación.
