Gobernanza Ambiental para la Paz en Colombia

Abstract

Si bien la relación entre medio ambiente y paz ha tenido un papel importante en el contexto internacional, es a partir de la firma del Acuerdo de Paz (2016) que cobra mayor relevancia en Colombia. Reconociendo que el medio ambiente y los recursos naturales desempeñan un papel en el fomento del desarrollo sostenible en las sociedades afectadas por el conflicto, en los últimos años se ha centrado la atención en la forma como deben interactuar estas dimensiones. El libro Gobernanza ambiental para la paz en Colombia surge en este contexto, y reúne una colección de ensayos sobre la construcción de paz ambiental en el caso colombiano. Los capítulos examinan la aplicación de los acuerdos de paz en Colombia desde el punto de vista de la construcción de paz ambiental, abordando la deforestación en la región amazónica, el papel de los cultivos ilícitos, la minería y los derechos de los indígenas y de la naturaleza, así como las herramientas de política, legislación y gobernanza.
