Machbarkeitsstudie zur Nutzung der Daten der Markttransparenzstelle für Strom und Gas für die Erzeugerpreisstatistik

Abstract

Die Markttransparenzstelle für den Großhandel mit Strom und Gas verwaltet Daten zu Absatzmengen und Preisen von Verträgen zu Strom und Gas. Diese Daten werden zur Verhinderung von Marktmanipulationen erhoben; sie stellen gleichzeitig eine neue vielversprechende Quelle für die Preisstatistik dar. Die Daten haben das Potenzial, für einzelne Positionen im Erzeugerpreisindex, Großhandelspreisindex sowie Ein- und Ausfuhrpreisindex repräsentative Stichproben durch nahezu Vollerhebungen zu ersetzen. Dies könnte die Qualität verbessern und berichtspflichtige Unternehmen entlasten. Mit einer Machbarkeitsstudie hat das Statistische Bundesamt evaluiert, ob die Daten für die Preisstatistik verwendbar sind. Es wurden Indizes auf Basis der Daten der Marktransparenzstelle berechnet und mit den Ergebnissen der Preisstatistik verglichen.
