Herausforderungen an die Pflegeinfrastruktur

Abstract

In einer alternden Bevölkerung steigt die Anzahl der Pflegebedürftigen. Deren Versorgung bedarf nicht nur zusätzlicher Pflegekräfte. Gleichzeitig muss auch eine geeignete Pflegeinfrastruktur in ausreichendem Umfang bereitgestellt werden. Bis 2030 müssen bundesweit bis zu 220.000 Plätze allein in der stationären Dauerpflege zusätzlich angeboten werden. Dabei stehen die einzelnen Bundesländer aufgrund ihrer spezifischen Bevölkerungsentwicklung und Ausgangsausstattung vor unterschiedlichen Herausforderungen. Sie alle müssen jedoch frühzeitig die Weichen für die Entwicklung einer bedarfs- und präferenzgerechten Pflegeinfrastruktur stellen.
