Abstract

Dieser Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über den Themenkomplex "Investitionen" aus gesellschaftswissenschaftlicher Sicht. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf der staatlichen Investitionspolitik: Der Staat kann selbst als Investor auftreten. Zudem kann der Staat versuchen, Investitionsentscheidungen von Unternehmen und Privathaushalten zu beeinflussen. Die Investitionsplanung von Unternehmen, Privatpersonen und Staaten ist allerdings mit dem Problem konfrontiert, dass die zukünftige Entwicklung nicht vollständig vorhersehbar ist.
