Auswirkungen der neuen Eigenkapitalbestimmungen "Basel III" auf die Finanzierung kleiner und mittlerer Unternehmen in Österreich

Abstract

Die Finanzierung durch Banken ist insbesondere für kleine und mittlere Unternehmen wegen ihres stark eingeschränkten Zugangs zum Kapitalmarkt von herausragender Bedeutung. Kleine und mittlere Unternehmen bieten aber oft nur sehr eingeschränkt die mit den verschärften Eigenkapitalerfordernissen für Finanzinstitute ("Basel III") einhergehenden höheren Kreditsicherheiten. Ihre Eigenkapitalausstattung ist in der Regel deutlich geringer als die größerer Unternehmen. Kleine Unternehmen dürften daher von den erwarteten Verschärfungen in der Kreditvergabe durch Basel III besonders betroffen sein.
