Abstract

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań dotyczące doboru odpowiedniej strategii rozwoju przez uniwersytety egipskie, w dobie kryzysu politycznego. W Egipcie, po rewolucji roku 2011 i obaleniu prezydenta Mubaraka, nastąpił okres nieprzewidywalnych zmian politycznych, których efektem są ciągłe demonstracje i zamieszki na ulicach dużych miast. W lipcu 2013 roku miały miejsce kolejne niepokoje społeczne, które doprowadziły do upadku prezydentury Morsiego i wprowadzeniu kontroli przez armię. W tak niestabilnym, burzliwym i nieprzewidywalnym otoczeniu uniwersytety poszukują dla siebie właściwej ścieżki rozwoju. Jednym z przyjętych rozwiązań jest stosowana przez Uniwersytety strategia adaptacji, która w Egipcie spotyka się jednakże z silnymi uwarunkowaniami kulturowo-społecznymi
