The Five W'S Of Emotion Analytics In Human Resources Management

Abstract

The topic of emotional intelligence is gaining popularity in recent years. One of its applications is in the field of human resources management. Hiring managers have realized the importance of emotional communication when searching, motivating, and keeping talents in their teams. To support the process of identifying and hiring the appropriate person, developing the skills and expertise of the person to match the position, they use so-called emotion analytics. In this regard, the purpose of current paper is to identify the five Ws of emotion analytics in human resources management and to propose an approach to apply them to social network research. Twitter has been used as a targeted social network for research as it is growing in popularity with young people around the world.
