Comportamiento financiero de las empresas en Chile

Abstract

En este trabajo, se estudian econométricamente los determinantes del endeudamiento acumulado por las empresas chilenas hasta el año 1980. Los resultados del estudio son consistentes con la irrelevancia de las consideraciones de riesgo en las decisiones de endeudamiento y la dicotomía entre decisiones reales y financieras en un mercado imperfecto de capitales. El modelo es una adaptación del utilizado por Carleton y Silberman para el estudio empírico de deuda en un mercado de capitales desarrollado.
