Der Einfluss von Erfindernetzwerken auf die Relevanz von Patenten

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Diese Arbeit untersucht den Zusammenhang zwischen der Netzwerkintegration von Erfindern und der Entstehung neuartigen Wissens. Geprüft wird, inwieweit die strukturelle Einbettung in Netzwerke zur Erklärung der Relevanz von Patenten eines Erfinders herangezogen werden kann. Die abgeleiteten Hypothesen beruhen auf der Arbeit von Perry-Smith/Shally (2003) und werden auf den Bereich der Forschung und Entwicklung übertragen. Die Befunde zeigen, dass die Netzwerkzentralität und der Anteil der strong-ties in Netzwerken umgekehrt u-förmige Zusammenhänge mit der Genierung neuartigen Wissens aufweisen. Im Anschluss werden Praxisimplikationen abgeleitet und diskutiert, inwiefern Netzwerkkonzepte in Zukunft in der betriebswirtschaftlichen Forschung vertieft werden können.
