A collaborative evolutionary model: the self-organizing evolutionary process of urban–rural digital sharing system of social public resources

Abstract

Urban–rural digital sharing of social public resources (SPR) is related to the balanced allocation and efficient utilization of public resources in urban and rural areas, which could promote sustainable and healthy socio-economic development. This paper describes the self-organization features of the urban–rural digital sharing system of SPR from the perspective of the self-organization of complex systems. A Logistic evolutionary model of the system is proposed to illustrate its collaborative evolutionary nature. In this model, the three variables affecting the evolutionary process of the sharing system—sharing level, sharing environment, and sharing benefits—are metaphorically represented as the three reactants in the B–Z reaction. The simulation results show that the sharing level of the digital sharing system dominates its evolutionary direction. The sharing environment and benefit of the system have similar evolutionary trends due to their synergistic effects. The high external input level promotes the evolutionary process of the system.
