Bezpośrednie inwestycje zagraniczne w gospodarce Indii

Abstract

W historii niepodległych Indii wyróżnia się dwa okresy: lata 1947-1990 oraz 1991-2018. Do 1990 roku gospodarka indyjska była bardzo scentralizowana i autarkiczna. Realizacja takiej polityki nie przynosiła dobrych efektów. Tempo wzrostu PKB kształtowało się w tym okresie na poziomie 3-4 proc. i należało do najniższych w Azji. W 1991 roku przeprowadzono wielkie reformy polegające na liberalizacji oraz deregulacji gospodarki. Od tego czasu notuje się wysokie tempo wzrostu gospodarczego, w latach 1991-2018 wyższą stopę wzrostu PKB wśród największych gospodarek świata osiągała tylko gospodarka chińska. Na początku drugiej dekady lat bieżącego stulecia gospodarka indyjska mierzona wielkością PKB (wg PPP) jest trzecią na świecie – po Chinach i USA. Jednym z najważniejszych czynników szybkiego rozwoju i modernizacji gospodarki Indii jest napływ bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych (BIZ), szczególnie po 2000 roku. Indie stały się trzecim w Azji krajem pod względem napływu BIZ – po Chinach i Singapurze. Co roku 4-8 proc. ogółu indyjskich nakładów na środki trwałe pochodzi od zagranicznych inwestorów. W 2017 roku 1,2 proc. skumulowanego zasobu BIZ w skali świata znajdowało się w Indiach. Są one lokalizowane w najbardziej nowoczesnych sektorach usług oraz przemysłu. Głównymi inwestorami w Indiach są przedsiębiorstwa z wysoko rozwiniętych krajów świata. Rząd Indii bardzo aktywnie wspiera napływ bezpośrednich inwestycji.
