Abstract

The implementation of innovative IT solutions in public administration should always be related to social needs. This article answers the question: ‘How to evaluate innovative IT solutions in public administration for the rational allocation of resources?’ The authors have developed principles for assessing the potential of innovation implementation, indicating the degree of compliance by the organization. The evaluation model considers two issues: the effect of IT innovations declared by an organization, and the innovative potential of an organization, that ensures their effective implementation. The authors have used the experience they gained during the evaluation of innovative projects in public administration within programs financed by public funds.
