PRESENTACIÓN: Reflexiones sobre los grandes retos de la gestión sostenible del medio natural

Abstract

En esta presentación del volumen 25-3 de la Revista Galega de Economía, quedan patentes los grandes retos que se le plantean a la gestión sostenible del medio natural. Por ello, es importante que se siga avanzando en el conocimiento de los límites que la capacidad de regeneración y asimilación de los ecosistemas plantea a las actividades socioeconómicas. Ahora bien, no siempre se dispondrá del conocimiento científico que permita definir con precisión dichos límites por lo que sería conveniente adoptar un criterio de precaución ante la posibilidad de pérdidas irreversibles de capital natural “crítico” con consecuencias inciertas.
