On the statistican, pipeline transport - the most reliable way of transportation of oil and under normal conditions operation, objectsof pipeline transport of oil don't represent danger to the population and surrounding environment. During too time major accidents on oilpipelines, can have rather considerable negative consequences for the population and environment, in particular, if they are accompaniedby oil receipt in environment. In the present work the author contemplates a problem of failures on oil pipelines on an example of theChechen Republic and does substantiated conclusions about degree of influence of such failures as on environment, and region economyas a whole.
