Comparability and Incomparability in Housing Programmes in Wales; A Spatial Analysis for 1981

Abstract

In this paper Census data are investigated as possible explanations of recent housing investment in Wales. Public sector investment is found to relate poorly to need, but private sector investment in new construction is found to be responsive to surrogate measures of demand. Housing investment is found to be substantially independent by sector.
